My name is Shannon Machuca and I would like to tell you about two extraordinary employees at your Birmingham Colonnade Home 2 Suites. Let me back up a bit with our pre arrival story. We experienced a vehicle breakdown in rush hour traffic three miles from your location. No worries I had a reservation for a one night stay. After safely getting pushed to the side of the road and securing a tow truck it was close to eight pm, our original eta should have been five pm. So we were quite stressed out but at least we had a place to stay and could sort out repairs in the morning. The young man Jerome at the front desk told me they were sold out for the night, my confirmation number through booking.com would not come up in the system. I think at this time Jerome must have seen the stress on my face as I think I could have melted down right there. He looked again and said we do have one suite available I can secure for you, he couldn't give it to me for the price I was booked for but at that moment I just needed a room. Booking.com has a no refund policy and I was trying to get it cancelled. My normal calm personality was shredded were I couldn't even get through a normal function of trying to cancel this. Jerome calmly picks up my phone and called booking.com for me, also while checking me in so my husband and dog could get out of the heat and into a cool room. He ended up calling on the hard line as the cell connection was cut off, all while still taking care of other guests. Jerome gave me my key and said do you want to go to your room if you feel comfortable with me talking to booking.com and ok the cancel? This young man deserves a raise and promotion, todays world you don't get that kind of empathy or customer service as company "policies" don't leave them a lot of options without disciplinary action. The second employee I would like to mention is D'Keryah at the front desk the next morning.

Ive been traveling for weeks for a new job. The staff here was by far the best I’ve encountered ANYWHERE. Everyone we dealt with was kind, knowledgeable, helpful and happy. They sincerely seemed to be pleased to help in anyway. From directions to recommendations on a place to eat. I wish I could stay there wherever I travel across the country. Give them ALL a raise, theyre an asset to your company!!!!

The staff was outstanding. At the checkout my daughter had forgotten items in her room (twice🙄🫣)and locked the keys inside. The person at the front desk didn’t hesitate and helped her by giving her an extra key the first time and walked with her to the room the second time. Thank you so much. Location is perfect. Breakfast was good.

We visited for our 9th wedding anniversary. The staff was so welcoming. The person at the desk, Rue, was so amazing and friendly. She went above and beyond our expectations. I needed an extra pillow for my back. She was there, got it, and handed it to me with a smile. Great service!

Clean and comfortable. All staff I encountered I spoke with provided excellent customer service. Very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast times was great for us who sleeps in a little longer. My room was exceptionally clean.
